23rd to 24th of July @ Courtyard Hotel Sandton
6th to 7th of August @ Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Durban
This course has been developed to provide practical, field-oriented guidance on culvert design, inspection, and lifecycle management, without requiring advanced hydrology, hydraulics, or modelling expertise. It focuses on simple, reliable methods, sound engineering judgment, and risk-based decision-making, making it particularly relevant for practitioners working with limited data, budgets, and time.
A key feature of the programme is the integration of modern digital and AI-enabled tools alongside traditional engineering practice. Participants will gain exposure to AI-assisted inspections, predictive maintenance concepts, and digital asset management approaches—presented in a non-technical, accessible way that supports, rather than replaces, professional judgment.
The course is suitable for:
Through real-life case studies, hands-on workshops, and group exercises, participants will leave with practical skills they can apply immediately to improve culvert performance, extend service life, and reduce flood-related risks.
We would be happy to discuss how this course can be delivered to suit your organisation’s needs, whether as a public programme or an in-house tailored workshop.
